W18 high speed steel is a kind of high speed steel of tungsten with the exclusive nature of hardness, red-hardness and hot hardness. HSS can be used for making cold working mold steel, the hardness main 57HRC-58 HRC, and 52-53 HRC separately under 500°C-600°C. It has good machinability for most of materials. W18 HSS material used for the die steel which requires high hardness, higher compressive strength and wear resisting property, bear higher load, and process hard material, such as overload punch, cold extrusion die steel, high speed heat-resisting and wear-resisting cutting tools, high-temperature bearing and roller etc, has higher hardness, high strength, high crushing resistance, higher wear- resistance and high thermal stability characteristics.

1.Anneal temperature:840-860

2.Relief annealing temperature: 720-760

3.Hardening temperature: 1210-1240

4.Hardening medium: salt bath under 600,aslo use oil cooling or air cooling.

5.Normal temper temperature: 540-560

6.Application: Instead for W18Cr4V(T1) and W6Mo5Cr4V2(M2)

7.Spheroidizing annealing HBS≤255

8.Heat treatment,Quench1270-1285

9.oil cool tempering temperature550-570
